The Funahashi Times No.33 フィリピンのクリスマスの風物詩~キャロリング~

Hello there!

Every Christmas season in Philippines, many children go from house to house at night to sing songs and ask for coins. We call this caroling. They usually sing together with their friends. They help each other to make musical instruments. These instruments are usually made of recycled things like bottle caps, cans, and wires. They always sing with great energy and loud voice. Many people don’t like caroling because it’s noisy. It’s also difficult to find coins to give. But for me, it’s one of the best things every Christmas. It’s a time when you see kids smiling together.
