３年生は、英語の授業で世界の絶滅のおそれのある動物について知り，自分たちにできることを考え、英語で書きました。そのいくつかを紹介します。

Let‘s help the red panda survive!

The red panda is one of the endangered animals.

They live in northeast India and China. There are about 5,000 of them.

They became endangered because of hunting and development.

I think it is important for us to protect the environment.

レッサーパンダが開発による生息地の破壊や狩猟により、絶滅の危機にさらされていることを知りました。環境を守ることが私たちにとって重要だと思いました。（３年　Ｍ．Ｓ．）

Let’s Help Inuwashi Survive!!

Inuwashi are one of the endangered animals in Japan. They live in Northern Japan. There are about 400~500 in Japan now. They are endangered because their habitat is decreasing. I want the forest to be protected.

イヌワシの生息地が減少しているため、危険な状況であることを知りました。

私はイヌワシのために森を守ってほしいです。

Asian elephant

Asian elephant is one the endangered animals in Asia. They live in various regions of Asia.

There are about 50,000 in Asia.

To save them, we need to ban poaching and protect the natural environment.

アジアゾウは絶滅危惧種です。彼らは、アジア各地に約50,000頭います。私たちのすべきことは、ゾウたちの住処を荒らさない、自然環境を守るということです。（3年 Ａ．Ｔ．）

Let’s help Raicho survive.

Raicho are one of the endangered animals in Japan.

They live in Myoko mountains, Hida mountains, Norikura mountains, Mitake mountains and Akaishi mountains. They are about 1,700 in Japan now. They became endangered because of tourism development. I want to keep the mountains clean to protect Raicho.

雷鳥は、観光の開発により住処が減ったため、数が少なくなっていることを知りました。

私たちは、山をきれいに保つべきだと思いました。（３年H.H.）

Polar bears

Polar bears are one of the endangered animals in the world. They live in the Arctic and eat seals, fish, birds, and so on. There are 26,000 polar bears in the world. They are decreasing because of the global warming. It is decreasing icebergs. We should think about the effects of global warming on animals.

ホッキョクグマは地球温暖化の影響によりその数が減少していることが分かりました。私たちは地球温暖化の動物たちへの影響について考えるべきだと思います。（3年Ｈ.Ｍ.）
