Funahashi Times No.59 「社会に学ぶ『１４歳の挑戦』での経験を大切に」

Hello there!

Last week, the second-year students of Funahashi Junior High School went to different shops to experience real work. In English, we call it on-the-job training or OJT. After school, I visited the library and the convenience store to see some of my students. They were all doing great. They greeted me with smiles. They all looked happy at work. The OJT was only three days long, but it was a great experience for the students. I think that learning isn’t only inside the classroom. Learning happens outside the classroom too. I think the students learned a lot from their short OJT experience. I’m excited to hear their stories.
